The leadership of the Citizens Grassroots Renaissance and Human Development Initiative (CIGRAHDI) has officially endorsed Hon. Chief. Ezeanochie Emmanuel (CHENCO), the Action Peoples Party (APP) candidate for the Imo State House of Assembly, Oru West State Constituency, ahead of the 2027 general election.
The organisation, whose objectives include promoting good governance, advancing human capital development, combating corruption and advocating for the protection of human rights, unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Hon. Chief. Ezeanochie Emmanuel (CHENCO), describing him as a credible and capable candidate with the qualities required to provide effective representation for Oru West.
The endorsement which took place on Saturday, 18th July 2026, in Owerri, marks another significant milestone for the CHENCO Campaign Council as it continues to strengthen its grassroots support across Oru West in preparation for the 2027 Imo State House of Assembly election.
In his address, the National Coordinator of the organisation, Hon. Comrade Uche Chukwudi, expressed confidence in CHENCO’s ability to deliver quality representation and attract meaningful development to Oru West if elected. He noted that the organisation’s decision to endorse him followed a careful assessment of the candidates seeking to represent Oru West State Constituency.
He further assured Chief. Ezeanochie of the organisation’s unwavering support and pledged that the organisation will work fully with the CHENCO Campaign Council to mobilise support across the constituency ahead of the forthcoming election.
Responding, Hon. Chief. Ezeanochie Emmanuel (CHENCO) expressed his appreciation to the leadership and members of CIGRAHDI for the confidence they reposed in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring effective representation and pledged to justify their trust in him through dedicated service if elected as member representing Oru West constituency come 2027.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Director-General of the CHENCO Campaign Council, Hon. Precious Ozuruoke Uzoma reassured the CIGRAHDI executives of CHENCO’s readiness to serve the good people of Oru West. He highlighted CHENCO’s leadership qualities and track record, urging them to remain steadfast in supporting his aspiration.
Among those present at the meeting were the Imo State Coordinator of CIGRAHDI, Major Valentine Mbanaso RTD, who was represented by the Deputy State Coordinator, Engr. Comrade ND Okorie, the Oru west Coordinator CIGRAHDI, Hon. Architect Leo Ejike Okeke, Imo State Organising secretary CIGRAHDI, Comrade Dickson Samson Ijeoma, Imo State Director of Youths CIGRAHDI, Comrade Ben Akaru and all the ward coordinators from the 10 wards of Oru west and some Local government coordinators who were also present.
