Barrister Enyinanya Onuegbu, the Political Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma, and Head, Imo State Government Political Bureau, has hailed the governor’s victory at the Imo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, describing the outcome as the reflection of the Imo people’s mandate which they overwhelming gave to the governor during November 11th gubernatorial election in the state.

The Ebekuo Ngor-Okpala, also took on the duo of PDP and LP governorship candidates during the last election, Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Senator Athan Achonu, advising them to accept the verdict of the Imo electorate in good faith and allow Governor Uzodimma to concentrate on his commitment to delivering qualitative leadership that is transforming the state in all facets.

The astute politician was addressing newsmen at the sidelines of a thanksgiving ceremony in honour of the Surveyor-General of Imo State, Surv. Bob Uzodimma Odidika and his family on Sunday, 26th May at the Imo State Secretariat of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIN) off Port-Harcourt Road, Owerri. According to him, the governor’s second tenure holds great promise for the state as Imo people would be happier.

Visibly elated, the former LGA chairman of Ngor-Okpala, posited that the PDP and LP candidates should be realistic enough to accept the will of the people on Governor Uzodimma’s victory by re-examining the merit of their matters, instead of causing further distractions to the performing governor whose popular mandate has been validated by the tribunal.

While thanking God for the governor’s victory, Barrister Onuegbu, also highlighted the need for Senator Anyanwu and Senator Achonu to jettison further litigations concerning the election he declared that Governor Uzodimma won overwhelmingly for the greater interest of the state, as he challenged them on patriotism.

Ebekuo stated: “We give God all the glory as it was the confirmation of the mandate of Imo people for His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma. And we believe that his second tenure will witness more robust achievements just like in the first term and Imo will be safer; the people would be happier, and civil servants would be happier with His Excellency, because he has an avowed commitment to make Imo better for all of us.

“Though, those contesting the outcome of the election have the constitutional rights to do so, but in the greater interest of Imo people, they should have a second look at the merit of their matter and submit to the will of the people,” Ebekuo posited.

He used the opportunity and extolled Surv Bob Uzodimma Odidika, for being a man remarkable for his humility, respect for God, hardwork and dedication to duties, adding that such attributes are responsible for his success in life and career, as he prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon his family.
