To improve good living and goodness in Orlu, Orsu and Oru East
Federal Constituency, Member representing the areas in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Canice Moore O. Nwachukwu (Omeogo, Ogbaturuenyi Na Orlu), has vowed to do more human driven projects in those local government areas.
He made the vow while receiving an Award of Legislator Per Excellence from Coalition of Orlu Zone Media Practitioners held at Gravity Hotel Owerri on Thursday.
Omeogo who promised to intensify good and effective representation, affirmed that he will install project in all the communities in Orlu, Orsu and Oru East Federal Constituency to help strengthen social development and economic prosperity as the feat would spur the constituents to actively engage in productive activities to assuage economic hardship, poverty and vulnerability.
The Lawmaker who is a Member of ECOWAS Parliament, mentioned that he has achieved a lot, done projects like borehole and school structure which he added will soon start, among other people oriented projects and programs.
According to Omeogo, “I’m doing a lot of things in my constituency. I will share more projects within the constituency to ensure that the people benefit largely from my good representation. I will continue putting more effort, creating more values to making people happy. I am committed to creating more momentum in representation to affect the society and the people positively. I love my people very much because they cherish me and I cannot afford to let them down”.
He noted that “grand breaking of school, commissioning of borehole in the constituency are parts of the projects designed for the people and more are in the pipeline”.
Responding to the Award, the Legislator saluted the Coalition of Orlu Zone Media Practitioners for finding him worthy of the medal, describing it as
“an uncommon honor”, saying “it has more weight because the award is coming from Coalition of Orlu Zone Media Practitioners”.
“I value the award so much. Because it is coming from Orlu Zone people. I will always work with you. I will continue to align with you. You have done noble by crowning me with the medal of honor. You should continue doing well, always use your tools to give impetus to the policies and programs of His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma, the leader of APC in South East and Chairman of APC Governor’s Forum because he meant well for Imo State.
“I will be more happier seeing you project the activities of the Governor who is trying his best to give Imo State good governance, goodness. Yes, he needs our solid support to meet goals”.
Omeogo who is equally a journalist, said he was “profoundly happy and surprised of the award, though I have been trying my best at the National Assembly to render effective representation to the people and as a Member of the ECOWAS Parliament, I have also been trying my best to get things done rightly and in accordance to the Will of the constituents”.
“As a committee member of Ecological Fund in the 10th National Assembly and through the instrumentality of Governor Hope Uzodimma and my little effort, we welcomed the committee into Imo State. I took them around to have environment assessment of the ecological (erosion prone) areas for remedy.
“After the tour, we had in-house discussion on how to implement the outing for the collective good of Imo people. I gave an appraisal and we are going to overcome the ecological (erosion) challenges”, he stressed.
He congratulated the publisher of Eastern Lead Express, Declan Anele, who was reelected as INPA Chairman, Imo State, just as he thanked one of his Media Aides, Peter Dibia, for being a dependable ally.
Thus, SA to the Governor on Transportation, Chief Peter Okorie, an Aide to the Governor, Chief Emeka Enyinnaya, Chief Greg Nwosu, an APC chieftain, Chief Obinna Egwu among others, were around to celebrate with Omoego as he was honored by Orlu Zone Media Practitioners.
Presenting the award to the recipient earlier, President of Orlu Zone Media Practitioners, Reginald Oloko, said the Coalition was quite impressed of his sterling performance in the National Assembly hence the recognition, vowing that COZMP will continue to partner with Omeogo by projecting his activities in the media, describing him as a good man with deep leadership experience.
