In what promises to be a life-changing encounter for residents of Imo State and beyond, the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Imo South, has commenced a five-day citywide crusade and free medical outreach in the state capital, Owerri.
Tagged “Great Redemption, Recovery, and Restoration through Jesus Christ” the spiritual and humanitarian event, which commenced on Wednesday, November 12, will run through Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Owerri City Primary School, Wetheral Road, opposite the Imo State Stadium.
Speaking to journalists in Owerri, the State Overseer of the Ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Okoro, said the outreach is designed to restore hope, heal the broken-hearted, and bring total redemption to participants.
He explained that the initiative combines gospel evangelism with free medical services, reaching both the spiritual and physical needs of the people.
Pastor Okoro, who has been in ministry for over four decades, recalled that since assuming duty in Imo State in 2008, he has moved from one local government to another preaching the gospel and bringing salvation to the people.
He said the ongoing crusade would go beyond salvation to include community welfare through comprehensive healthcare services, with a team of doctors, nurses, and medical specialists already mobilised to provide general check-ups, screenings, consultations, and free medications throughout the five-day event.
The cleric described sin as the greatest problem of mankind and expressed confidence that the crusade would bring divine transformation even to hardened hearts, noting that the outreach aims to provide both spiritual and physical healing for attendees.
He said that the programme is featuring anointed messages, revival prayers, and worship sessions led by gospel artiste Israel Anyaele, alongside soul-lifting music, testimonies, and deliverances, while daily sessions will include a Lunch Hour with Jesus at 1:00 p.m. and Evening Revival Services at 4:00 p.m., creating a continuous atmosphere of worship, renewal, and fellowship.
Organisers noted that the event is open to everyone irrespective of denomination, age, or background, with free transportation available for participants outside Owerri Municipal and adequate security already in place to ensure a safe and peaceful experience for all worshippers.
Describing the crusade as both a spiritual and humanitarian intervention, Pastor Okoro said the church is trusting God for another season of signs and wonders, expressing faith that the programme will mark a divine visitation in Imo State.
He affirmed, quoting Psalm 107:20, that “He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions,” assuring that all who attend will experience God’s power of redemption, recovery, and restoration.
The programme will climax with a special citywide Sunday service on November 16, which the church described as a day of thanksgiving, testimonies, and divine restoration.
