A respected political organizer and grassroots influencer in Imo State, Chief Ezenna Okoro, is calling on the political elite in the region to synchronize their political objectives with the developmental aspirations of rural communities.

During an insightful discussion with journalists in Owerri, Chief Ezenna Okoro underscored the urgent necessity for leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the populace and aligns its actions with the societal needs.

Chief Ezenna strongly asserts that Emeka Ihedioha exemplifies the essence of a leader who prioritizes the welfare of the people in Imo State. Consequently, he posits that Ihedioha’s affiliation with the PDP no longer resonates with the party’s current trajectory, which he perceives as divergent from the interests of Nigerians.

Expressing disillusionment with the PDP’s failure to acknowledge Ihedioha’s contributions, Chief Ezenna advocates for Ihedioha’s transition to a political party that better reflects his ethos and principles. He stresses that this sentiment is widely echoed among various support groups in Imo State.

During his tenure as Director of Imo State Atiku Presidential Campaign 2023, Chief Ezenna gained valuable insights into the pressing needs of Imo and Nigeria at large. He underscores the growing clamor for transparent leadership and insists that Ihedioha’s future lies with a party that aligns with such principles.

Asked to opine on the current leadership of the APC at the national level, Chief Ezenna critiques the party’s lack of ideological grounding, which he believes has contributed to its vulnerabilities. In contrast, he perceives the Labour Party as offering a more credible and solution-oriented approach to addressing Nigeria’s challenges.

Regarding Imo State’s current leadership under Senator Hope Uzodinma, Chief Ezenna acknowledges commendable efforts but draws comparisons with Ihedioha’s seven-month governance, which he contends brought joy to the people of Imo State.

Reflecting on the 2019 Party Primaries and the subsequent treatment of Ihedioha by the PDP, Chief Ezenna expresses regret and frustration at the party’s unfairness towards a man who symbolizes their collective aspirations.

In summary, Chief Ezenna asserts that the Labour Party embodies the principles of genuine leadership, citing examples from neighboring states like Abia.
