Renowned Nollywood actor and spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign, Dr. Kenneth Okonkwo, has strongly criticized the administration of President Bola Tinubu, raising concerns about the looming specter of anarchy in Nigeria under his leadership.
In an interview, Okonkwo asserted that he previously considered former President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year tenure as the nation’s worst, only to realize that Tinubu’s governance has surpassed it in just nine months.
Okonkwo highlighted Tinubu’s alleged preference for his own children over federal ministers, alongside a concentrated pattern of appointments favoring individuals from Lagos who align with the ‘Jagabanic’ ideology, which he claims is intertwined with ‘Emilokon’ philosophies.
He cautioned against the notion of governing Nigeria in the same manner as governing Lagos, emphasizing the country’s complexity and diversity. Okonkwo criticized what he perceives as a narrow focus on a specific region and ideological group within the country’s leadership appointments, suggesting it undermines the inclusivity and diversity necessary for effective governance.
