A serious contestant for Assa/Obile Ward in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, Hon. Columbus Ifurueze, says he is 100% capable to give his people quality and effective representation if he is elected as Councillor in the September 21st 2024 Imo Council Election.
Ifurueze stated this while fielding questions from journalists at APC State Secretariat Owerri on Monday immediately after he obtained the Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms.
He disclosed that he has vast experience in politics and governance hence stands the chance to lead his people well in line with democratic governance and rule of law, with a view to improving peace, social development and economic prosperity in Assa/Obile Ward.
“I started politics from my village, Idegele. I was village Vice President, Legislative Aide to former House Member, Imo State Assembly and General President of Assa community. I ran for Councillorship, I won, I was denied. I ran for House of Assembly election. I was Campaign Coordinator for Assa/ Obile Ward for Governor Hope Uzodimma reelection. So, I’m 100% capable to lead my people well if they elect me as Councillor of Assa/Obile Ward in the September 21st 2024 Council Election.
“By God’s power and grace, I will uphold peace and unity in my Ward and such will strengthen social development”, Ifurueze stated.
However, he appealed to the people of Assa/Obile Ward to consider him fit for the position, support him and elect him as their Councillor.
