The usual English adage that says,”one good turn, deserves another” will replicate itself in Nwangele Local Area come September 21st,2024 Imo State Councils poll as critical stakeholders, women and other support groups of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC have pitched tent with Hon. Chief Eze Ezekiel Chukwukere (Ogbuhere uzo 1 of Amaigbo) as the Executive Chairman of the grassroot government.

However,as the date for Councils poll approaches,a formidable women group known as Dominion Women International Nwangele chapter led by Hon. Ijeoma Chikwe had recently endorsed Hon. Ezekiel Chukwukere for the executive chairmanship position of the Council.

Recall that Chief Chukwukere was a former Chairman of Nwangele LGA between August,2010 and May,2011.

Chief Chukwukere popularly nicknamed,”I know this man” ranked the most popular LGA Chairman and selfless leader during the then Governor Ikedi Ohakim’s administration in Imo State.

Meanwhile,Chief Chukwukere’s tenure was truncated by then successive State government which left unsmiling faces to his political supporters.

On this ground, many stakeholders and socio-political groups are saying that for sake of equity, justice and fairness, Chief Chukwukere should be allowed to complete his tenure so that he will be fully assessed.

Infact, the phrase,”I know this man” has been ringing bail in Imo politics ranging before Governor Ohakim’s administration to the present 3R Government in Imo State led by His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

Interesting, Chief Chukwukere as an ardent supporter of Governor Hope Uzodimma and APC faithful had earlier floated at least six APC support groups that worked tirelessly in ensuring success and victory of the party in the last elections.

To buttress his plans and vision to take Nwangele people to the “promised land”,I know this had earlier made public his manifesto and 26-point development agenda.

He(Chief Chukwukere) promised to ensure good governance, job creation, poverty eradication, crime eradication, gender equality,youth/women empowerment, establishment of cottage industries, road rehabilitation/construction of new ones, maintenance of health centers& provision of drugs, prompt payment of workers salaries and allowances, sports development/construction of a new stadium, quality education, equal spread of appointments and amenities, agricultural development, provision of transformers and drilling of functional boreholes, special attention to Nwangele women, provision of motor parks and mass transit buses and scholarships/loan facilities.
