Chairmanship contestant for Owerri North Council in the September 21st 2024 Imo State LG Polls, Hon. Kingsley Asonye (Toshiba), has heartily congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma on his Supreme Court victory.
Asonye, an ardent APC member and apostle of the Shared Prosperity Governor, said the court victory was deserving given that Imo people voted massively for the APC candidate during the November 11 2023 Imo State Off-Cycle Election due largely to the numerous quality achievements of the Governor who he described as a true democrat and good pragmatic leader.
He reflected that the Governor has done numerous quality roads within the state, which he added are encouraging productivity as investors are coming into the state in droves, economic activities booming.
Asonye, in a chat with our reporter in Owerri on Saturday, expressed joy, as well as gratitude to God for the affirmation of the guber election of the Governor by the Supreme Court, saying the victory is germane and favorable to the people of Imo State.
He stressed that the victory would give the Governor much impetus to consolidate his good work in the state, geared to lift the people to greater heights.
“The Supreme Court victory of APC and Governor Hope Uzodimma is well deserved. The victory is a big plus to democracy and Imo State. The APC Government will continue to do everything humanly possible to make life more meaningful for citizens and I’m very happy for the Governor whose electoral victory was spurred by the good things he did in the state during his first term”, the APC chieftain stated.
Asonye who reassured the Governor of his continued support, urged members of APC in Owerri North LGA to find him fit and worthy for the Executive Chairman Seat and give him mandate, promising not to fail them if elected.
