Former United States President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), seeking $10 billion in damages over the alleged editing of a speech used in one of its documentaries.

Trump claimed that the broadcaster altered parts of his speech in a way that changed its original meaning and portrayed him unfairly. He argued that the edited version misled viewers and damaged his public image both in the United States and internationally.

According to the lawsuit, key portions of the speech were removed, resulting in what Trump described as a distorted and incomplete presentation. His legal team accused the BBC of failing to uphold professional standards of accuracy, balance, and fairness.

The BBC has not yet issued a detailed response to the legal action. The case is expected to spark renewed debate about editorial discretion, media ethics, and the limits of documentary storytelling.

The lawsuit represents another chapter in Trump’s long-standing disputes with major media organizations and is likely to attract significant public and legal attention as it progresses.
