EZEIGWE-IN-COUNCIL
PUBLIC NOTICE & ANNOUNCEMENT
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE EGBUOMA PEACE AND RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE
ONE KINGDOM. ONE PEOPLE. ONE DESTINY.
The Ezeigwe-In-Council hereby announces the constitution of the Egbuoma Peace and Reconciliation Committee (P&R Committee), a dedicated platform established to promote peace, dialogue, reconciliation and unity throughout Egbuoma Ancient Kingdom.
Egbuoma is not merely a geographical expression. We are one people, bound by a common ancestry, shared heritage, culture, customs, traditions and destiny.
Over the years, differences and disagreements have arisen among individuals, families and kindreds. Such differences are part of the realities of community life. However, disagreements must not become divisions, and differences must not be allowed to destroy the bonds that generations before us built and preserved.
No grievance should be greater than our Kingdom. No disagreement should be stronger than our brotherhood. No wound should be left to become a permanent scar.
It is in this spirit that the Ezeigwe-In-Council has established the Egbuoma Peace and Reconciliation Committee to create a credible, respectful and constructive pathway towards understanding, healing, reconciliation and lasting peace.
The Committee is mandated to identify and document the underlying causes of disagreements and disputes within Egbuoma over the past ten (10) years, covering the period 2016 to 2026.
The Committee shall provide a safe, neutral and respectful forum where any aggrieved indigene of Egbuoma may be heard.
It shall encourage and facilitate dialogue among concerned parties, with the objective of achieving amicable, fair and lasting resolutions to grievances.
The Committee shall also work towards restoring broken relationships and strengthening bonds within families, kindreds and the wider Egbuoma Kingdom.
Its mission is not to reopen old wounds for the sake of blame, but to understand what happened, address legitimate grievances, encourage reconciliation and help Egbuoma move forward together.
The Ezeigwe-In-Council respectfully calls upon all sons and daughters of Egbuoma who have unresolved, longstanding or vexed issues to seize this opportunity to be heard.
If there is an issue that has divided a family, separated brothers and sisters, created tension between kindreds or strained relationships within our Kingdom, this is an opportunity to bring it forward for peaceful consideration.
You are invited to submit a memorandum to the Committee.
Submissions may be made through the following channels:

All submissions are encouraged to be factual, respectful and constructive, with emphasis on truth, understanding, reconciliation and peaceful resolution.
Let us choose peace over division.
Let us choose dialogue over confrontation.
Let us choose reconciliation over resentment.
Let us choose unity over disunity.
The future of Egbuoma belongs to all of us.
What we heal today will strengthen the generations that come after us. What we reconcile today will become a legacy of peace for our children and grandchildren.
Egbuoma has one history.
Egbuoma has one heritage.
Egbuoma has one destiny.
ONE KINGDOM. ONE PEOPLE. ONE DESTINY.
Let us come together.
Let us listen to one another.
Let us forgive where necessary.
Let us reconcile.
Let us rebuild Egbuoma—together.
THE TIME TO HEAL IS NOW.
