The Human Life Protection Advocacy Initiatives (HLPAI) has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, particularly Governor Hope Uzodimma, to give serious consideration to Prince Maduba Chukwudi Francis, popularly known as OluImo, in the forthcoming 2026 Local Government Council election.
The group described OluImo as a shining example of youthful leadership, courage, political commitment, and grassroots engagement, insisting that his emergence into an elected political office would provide a valuable platform for advancing the interests and aspirations of Imo youths.
In a statement, the advocacy group noted that OluImo has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a young leader capable of inspiring a new generation of politically conscious and development-oriented youths across Imo State.
According to HLPAI, his leadership potential represents the kind of opportunity the political establishment should embrace at a time when young people are increasingly demanding meaningful participation in governance and decision-making.
The group further maintained that giving OluImo an elected political platform would go beyond rewarding individual commitment; it would create an avenue to galvanise Imo youths, mobilise their productive energy, and direct their ambitions towards a more purposeful and rewarding future.
“Prince Maduba Chukwudi Francis has demonstrated the green light of youthful leadership. He represents the energy, courage, and aspirations of a generation that deserves adequate representation in governance. Giving him an elected office will create an opportunity to harness the enormous potential of Imo youths and direct them towards a meaningful destination,” the group stated.
HLPAI therefore appealed to Governor Hope Uzodimma and the APC leadership to recognise the importance of youth inclusion in the forthcoming local government political arrangement and consider OluImo as a credible candidate deserving of an opportunity.
The group emphasised that sustainable political development requires deliberate investment in emerging leaders, adding that young people should not merely be mobilised during election periods but should also be entrusted with responsibilities that enable them to contribute directly to governance.
It concluded that OluImo’s aspiration deserves serious political consideration, describing his potential emergence as an opportunity to strengthen grassroots leadership and encourage greater youth participation in the democratic process.
For HLPAI, the message is clear: Imo youths deserve a voice, an opportunity, and leadership they can identify with. OluImo represents that green light.
