Nigeria’s Super Eagles have declared their readiness for a demanding AFCON 2025 quarter-final clash against Algeria, with head coach Eric Chelle and winger Moses Simon expressing confidence in the team’s preparation and unity.
Chelle said the Eagles are mentally, physically and tactically prepared for the encounter, stressing the need for discipline, focus and collective effort against a well-organised Algerian side.
Simon echoed the coach’s optimism, highlighting the strong bond within the squad.
He praised the influence of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, adding that the team plays with a shared purpose and belief.
Although Algeria head into the match with an impressive defensive record and confidence of their own, the Super Eagles believe their form, attacking strength and team spirit will be key.
The quarter-final will decide who progresses to the AFCON 2025 semi-finals as two African football heavyweights battle for supremacy.
