Barely two weeks after members of the 10th Assembly of Imo State House of Assembly marked one year in the office, the lawmaker representing Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency,Hon. Dr. Uzoma Francis Osuoha has assured his constituents of more effective representation.

Speaking to newsmen in his Office at the Assembly Complex,New Owerri on Thursday,Hon. Dr. Osuoha popularly called “Eze Buguma” recalled that what brought him to politics was his eager and patriotic zeal to serve and give his people a well deserved representation.

He promised that no amount of criticism will make him to reverse his decision of writing his name in the “Guinness book of records”, maintaining that he has done marvelously well in terms of moving motions,co-sponsoring bills as well as effectively contributing to the overall well-being of Imo State at the hallowed chamber of the House of Assembly in the past one year.

“The journey has not been easy, but I thank God for the gift of life and sound health. I have been able to empower at least 480 indigent widows both in Ohaji/Egbema and across Orlu Zone.
I also paid JAMB fee for 120 students from Ohaji/Egbema in the just concluded Examination. I empowered my people agriculturally in the last farming season, and also ensured that my people benefited from the recent Federal Government sponsored Skil Acquisition Programme.
And I urge my constituents to be patient as I will not disappoint them. I represent people across party line. I run an open-door policy. And it is on records that I have settled many community issues bothering my people. Nobody will influence me. So, my one year in office has been a vibrant outing “,Eze Buguma insisted.

Reacting to the current political developments in Ohaji/Egbema regarding zoning formula of Chairmanship seat in the forthcoming Local Governments Election, the lawmaker declared that he has no anointed candidate or supporting any political bloc now, but only waiting for Governor as a party faithful to tell them whom to support.

Eze Buguma urged youths and the entire people of Ohaji/Egbema to continue to be law abiding citizens as well as embracing peace in their areas as the political coast will soon become clear.

“I recently went away for medical treatment, and I came back observing that some people are hitting the polity.
I’m very loyal to our dear Governor and I work in synergy with him. We have no reason to bother ourselves hence the Governor will show us the road to follow at the appropriate time”,he concluded.
