The women and youths of Ngor-Okpala LGA of Imo State have said that they would give their full support to Hon. Chika Ibekwe to enable her become the Executive Chairman of Ngor-Okpala in the September 21st 2024 Imo Council Election.
They stated this through Engr. Collins Okereke (Apex Youth Leader of Ngor-Okpala LGA), Hon. Mrs. Juliet Ejealo (LGA Women Mobilizer) and Comr. Onyemauche Ekwugha (Chairman, Door to Door Campaign) when they accompanied Hon. Chika Ibekwe to obtain the Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms at APC State Secretariat Owerri on Tuesday.
The youth and women of the locality who added that apart from their decision for a woman to occupy the Executive Chairmanship Seat of Ngor-Okpala LGA, stated that Hon. Chika Ibekwe is fit for the Position because she is credible and accountable and has the political will and leadership prowess and capacity to viably and efficiently uphold good governance with a view to improving peace, security, social and economic development of the area.
Describing Hon. Chika Ibekwe as a nice person, a submissive wife, a caring mother, an experienced politician, who was the former Aide to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Owerri Zone, Engr. Collins Okereke, Apex Youth Leader of Ngorkpala, hinted that they “chose her for the Chairmanship Position because she is more credible and accountable”.
With Hon. Mrs. Juliet Ejealo, LGA Women Mobilizer, stressing that “we want a woman to go for us. Because with her being the Ngor-Okpala Council as Executive Chairman, things will get better. Yes, we have been craving for her service at that capacity”.
Just as Comr. Onyemauche Ekwugha Chairman, Door to Door Campaign, Onyemauche Ekwugha, affirmed that “we have decided that Hon. Chika Ibekwe will go for us. It is the turn of women to become Executive Chairman of Ngor-Okpala Council, as women are very good and transparent and more democratic. In fact, both leaders and ordinary members of APC in the locality are happy with her aspiration.
They called on the entire people of Ngor-Okpala to cue behind Hon. Chika Ibekwe to enable her win the poll.
