Inter-State Journalists for Democracy and Development (IJDD) has nominated Mr. Emmanuel Chukwu and Lady Chika Uju for awards following their track records of service to humanity.
A release by the association signed by the Publicity Secretary and Chairman, Awards/Honour Committee, Mr. Ambrose Njoku said tMr Chukwu was nominated for his versatile contributions to society through journalism and book publications over the past two decades despite health challenges
On her part, Lady Uju will be bestowed with DEMOCRACY ADVOCATE award given her contribution to free speech and advocacy for democracy.
According to the release, the date and venue of the conferment will be announced in due course. Inter-State Journalists for Democracy and Development is a quasi International elite press association promoting mass media activities across state and international boundaries and fostering professionalism and integrity of the media.
IJDD has one coordinator each in the United States and United Kingdom with the objectives of building a news and social economic development links between Eastern Diasporan and states in the old Eastern region and others.
IJDD is reputed with expanding the frontiers of knowledge and economy across boarders.
