The City Boy Movement (CBM) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his progressive leadership and people-focused reforms under the Renewed Hope Initiative. The group described the administration’s policies as crucial to Nigeria’s national transformation and pledged its unwavering support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This commendation was made during the CBM Stakeholders Engagement Program held at Protea Hotel in Owerri, Imo State, which attracted a large turnout of Imo youths and political stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, CBM Director-General Francis Shoga—who represented the group’s patron, Seyi Tinubu—emphasized that the President’s initiatives are strategically designed to uplift the lives of everyday Nigerians. He cited key programs such as the Youth Ignite Program, Youth Entrepreneurship Program, and Graduate Entrepreneurship Fund, describing them as powerful tools for tackling youth unemployment and fostering economic self-reliance.
Shoga also commended the people of Imo State for their consistent support of President Tinubu’s vision, assuring them that the positive impact of the administration’s policies would become increasingly visible as implementation continues.
In his welcome remarks, CBM Imo State Coordinator, Prince Francis Uzo, described President Tinubu as a man of integrity and foresight. He noted that the administration’s policies are already steering the country toward sustainable development, peace, and unity. Uzo encouraged young people across the state to remain proactive and committed to supporting the government’s reform agenda.
Echoing this message, CBM State Director Goodluck Nwaneri explained that the engagement was organized to strengthen unity among Imo youths and to mobilize continued grassroots support for Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027. He reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to ensuring the success and continuity of the administration’s development efforts.
Also speaking, APC chieftain and Tinubu loyalist Marcellinus Nlemigbo praised CBM for its advocacy and dedication to raising political awareness at the grassroots level. He urged other organizations to emulate CBM’s commitment to good governance and national development.
A key highlight of the event was the symbolic hoisting of the City Boy Movement flag by group leaders, representing renewed unity and resolve toward progress. The program was widely described as impactful and strategic, further solidifying growing support for President Tinubu’s administration in Imo and across the Southeast region.
