Former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital following the road accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.
After his discharge, Joshua visited a morgue to pay his last respect to two close friends and members of his team who lost their lives in the tragic crash. The visit was conducted quietly as he mourned the loss of those who had worked closely with him.
The accident occurred on December 29, 2025, when a Lexus SUV carrying Joshua and his associates reportedly collided with a stationary truck. While Joshua sustained minor injuries and survived, the two team members died at the scene.
Police authorities have confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing, with the driver involved currently in custody for questioning.
Anthony Joshua is said to be in stable condition and continuing his recovery, as families of the deceased begin burial arrangements.
