As part of his unwavering commitment to seeking the face of Almighty God and promoting spiritual revival, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, alongside members of the Christ City Choir, CCC, a Christian platform he founded, successfully hosted the organisation’s Monthly Prayer Session on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Rockview Hotel, Owerri, Imo State.
The well attended programme brought together worshippers, ministers of the Gospel, and other Christian faithful who offered fervent prayers for Nigeria, Imo State, their leaders, and the peace, unity, and prosperity of the nation.
Participants also prayed for divine wisdom, justice, economic recovery, security, and God’s intervention in the affairs of the country.
Speaking with ThePressman Newspaper and other journalists shortly after the prayer session, Olehi expressed profound gratitude to God for His faithfulness, mercy, protection, and countless blessings upon his life, family, legal profession, and ministry.
He acknowledged that every achievement recorded in his life has been made possible through God’s grace and unfailing love.
While reflecting on the state of the nation, the respected legal luminary expressed concern over what he described as the challenges of poor leadership confronting Nigeria.
According to him, the country’s enormous human and natural resources can only be effectively harnessed through visionary, transparent, accountable, and people oriented leadership.
Olehi urged Nigerians, particularly the people of Imo State, to remain steadfast in prayers while actively participating in the democratic process.
He advised eligible voters to carefully assess the character, competence, integrity, credibility, and track records of aspirants before casting their votes during the 2027 general elections.
According to him, elections should not be influenced by ethnicity, religion, financial inducements, or political sentiments, but should instead be based on merit, capacity, accountability, and the genuine commitment of candidates to serve the people.
He further encouraged political office holders to govern with the fear of God, uphold justice and fairness, and prioritise the welfare of the people above personal interests.
The legal expert, stressed that selfless service, integrity, and accountability remain the hallmarks of true leadership capable of transforming society and restoring public confidence in government.
Olehi concluded by calling on Nigerians, most especially the people of Imo State, to remain hopeful despite the nation’s current challenges, expressing confidence that with sincere prayers, unity, responsible citizenship, and the emergence of credible leaders, Nigeria can achieve lasting peace, sustainable development, and renewed national progress.
