…Extols the Upholding of Cultural Heritage

The Secretary to the Local Government (SECLOG) of Ikeduru Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Ahamefule, has extended warm felicitations to the people of Owere Nchi-Ise on the occasion of the 2026 Oru Owerre Cultural Festival.
Chief Ahamefule also congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma’s aide, Hon. Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, on the conferment of the prestigious chieftaincy title, “Chinasaramokwu I of Owere Nchi-Ise,” describing the honour as a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding contributions to the community and society at large.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Chief Ahamefule (Kpakpando 1 of Akabo) commended the people of Owere Nchi-Ise for their commitment to preserving and promoting their rich cultural heritage through the annual festival. He described the celebration as a symbol of unity, identity, and pride that continues to strengthen the bond among sons and daughters of the community, both at home and in the diaspora.
Chief Ahamefule noted that the Oru Owerre Cultural Festival provides a unique platform for showcasing the customs, traditions, and values of Owere Nchi-Ise while promoting peace, harmony, and socio-cultural development.
Hon. Chief Ahamefule urged the people to remain steadfast in preserving their cherished cultural heritage and to continue passing these enduring values on to future generations. He expressed optimism that the festival would continue to attract wider recognition and contribute to the cultural, social, and economic advancement of Owere Nchi-Ise and Ikeduru Local Government Area as a whole.
He wished the organizers, traditional rulers, elders, youths, and the entire people of Owere Nchi-Ise a peaceful, successful, and memorable 2026 Oru Owerre Cultural Festival. He also prayed for greater wisdom, strength, and accomplishments for Hon. Nze Chinasa Nwaneri as he bears the revered traditional title of Chinasaramokwu I of Owere Nchi-Ise, expressing confidence that he would continue to serve both his community and the state with distinction.
