Hon. Ozioma Ebonine Distributes Over ₦120 Million in Mega Empowerment Drive for Njaba Constituents

Hon. Chief Ozioma Bennett Worship Ebonine, the Member representing Njaba State Constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, has disbursed empowerment items valued at over ₦120 million to his constituents. The Ezengwori “December” Empowerment Programme, held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Central School Umuaka, Njaba LGA, brought hope, opportunity, and smiles to residents across the area.

The event attracted community leaders, party officials, youths, women groups, artisans, and local stakeholders, reflecting strong support from the community. Beneficiaries received a variety of livelihood tools, including shuttle buses, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, power generators, and other essential items to help improve economic independence and living standards. Large quantities of rice were also distributed to support households in need.

At the event, the Njaba-born lawmaker and oil entrepreneur said the programme was part of his plan to fulfill his campaign promises and deliver tangible benefits to his constituents. He added that his work as a legislator is focused on creating real, people-centered impact and ensuring residents experience improved welfare.
Hon. Ebonine also shared some of his achievements.

He has provided scholarships for 63 students across primary and secondary schools in Njaba, helped residents gain employment abroad with five beneficiaries already on their way to Kuwait, and supported community projects including boreholes, healthcare assistance, and infrastructure improvements. He has also empowered local youths, artisans, and party members, helping the community grow economically.

“This is the third empowerment programme under my watch in just over two months, and my work is far from over. The next initiative will be during my upcoming constituency briefing, and I will continue to provide effective, people-focused representation,” he said.

The programme was attended by notable personalities, including Hon. Engr. Innocent Ikechukwu Ikpamezie, representing Mbaitoli, and Chief Ugochukwu Obi, Executive Council Chairman of Njaba LGA, representing Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma. Their presence highlighted the importance of the programme and the collective effort to support local development.

The turnout and appreciation from attendees showed how well the programme was received. Beneficiaries and community members praised Hon. Ebonine for his vision, generosity, and dedication to ensuring the people of Njaba benefit from meaningful development. With initiatives like this, Hon.
