The Anglican Youth Fellowship (A.Y.F.) of the Church of Nigeria, Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, has honoured Hon. Chief Bright Ahamefule, LL.B, M.A, Ph.D. (In View), with its prestigious Icon of Progress Award in recognition of his exceptional leadership, distinguished achievements, and commitment to human capital development, public service, and community advancement.
The award was presented during a provincial event held on Saturday, July 5, 2026, where the Fellowship celebrated individuals whose lives and service continue to make a positive impact on society and inspire the younger generation.
According to the citation, Hon. Chief Bright Ahamefule was selected for his visionary leadership, outstanding accomplishments, and contributions to community development. The Fellowship noted that his dedication to empowering people, promoting development, and advancing the common good has earned him widespread respect and admiration.
The Icon of Progress Award is one of the Anglican Youth Fellowship’s distinguished honours, reserved for individuals whose character, leadership, and service exemplify excellence and leave a lasting legacy within the Church and society.
Presenting the award on behalf of the Fellowship, the Provincial leadership congratulated the recipient and commended his commitment to service, describing him as a role model whose achievements continue to inspire hope, progress, and responsible leadership.
