Mrs. Florence Orji Resumes as New Clerk of Owerri Municipal Legislative Council
OWERRI, IMO STATE — The Owerri Municipal Legislative Council has welcomed Mrs. Florence Orji as its newly deployed Clerk, marking a new chapter in the administrative operations of the Legislative Council.
Mrs. Orji, an indigene of Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State, joins the Owerri Municipal Legislative Council following her transfer from Njaba Local Government Area, where she previously served. She also has valuable administrative experience from her earlier service in Mbaitoli Local Government Area.
Her deployment to Owerri Municipal is expected to bring her wealth of experience, administrative expertise and institutional knowledge to the operations of the Legislative Council.
The leadership and members of the Owerri Municipal Legislative Council, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Soronnadi Justice Chijioke, have formally welcomed the new Clerk and expressed optimism about a productive working relationship.
The Council Leader described the appointment/deployment as a welcome development, noting that the Clerk occupies a strategic position in ensuring effective legislative administration, proper documentation, coordination of legislative proceedings and smooth communication between the leadership, councillors and relevant government structures.
Mrs. Florence Orji is expected to work closely with the Council leadership, the Majority Leader, Chief Whip and other councillors in strengthening the administrative machinery of the Legislature and ensuring efficient service delivery.
Her arrival has generated positive expectations within the Council, with members looking forward to benefiting from her previous experiences in Njaba and Mbaitoli LGAs.
