In a proactive effort to deepen collaboration with law enforcement, a delegation of prominent journalists from Imo State paid a courtesy visit to the Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Police Headquarters in Owerri.
The meeting focused on strengthening communication channels, fostering mutual trust, and promoting accurate information-sharing as a tool for enhancing public security across the state.
Leading the delegation, Hon. Deacon Daniel Opara-Danjay highlighted the crucial role journalists play in informing the public and supporting security agencies through responsible reporting. He stressed the need for continuous engagement between the media and the police to counter misinformation and improve public awareness.
In his response, CP Aboki Danjuma expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the professionalism and patriotism of the journalists. He reiterated the Command’s readiness to partner with the media in advancing community policing and ensuring citizens stay informed with verified updates.
