A prominent figure in Osu-Ama Ancient Kingdom and Isiala Mbano LGA, Chief Louis Iwule (Akudina nwa l of Osu-Ama), has expressed joy over the return of Umuezechukwu Village to the Osu-Ama Ancient Kingdom in Isiala Mbano LGA, describing it as a right step in the right direction that would not only grant them their right of place and identity, but expand the frontiers of peace, unity and development in the area.

Chief Iwule, who is the Vice-Chairman of the Osu-Ama King’s Cabinet, also showered encomiums on the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness, Eze Edmund Umunnakwe Agim (Eze Udo IV), describing him as a man with enormous goodwill, magnanimity and sound morality; the attributes Chief Iwule noted made the return of Umuezechukwu Village which left Osu-Ama Ancient Kingdom many years back to be with Ikwuano Autonomous Community possible.

Chief Akudina nwa speaks: “The event today is so amazing and I am very glad to be part of this historic occasion because we all clamour for peace and progress in our community. So, we are happy to welcome our brothers that stepped aside and have decided to come back to rejoin us. On behalf of Eze Umunnakwe Agim and the entire Cabinet of Osu-Ama Ancient Kingdom, I would like to express our happiness and joy to welcome our brothers back in our midst

“The truth remains that they did not leave our community out of protest, but their sojourn away was as a result of misguided idea because there was no violence at least at my own witness. We were all here and there was no dispute. The fact is that the outcome was based on misconception. They left and found themselves in the midst of nowhere.

“So, now after twelve years of wandering, they realized that they have an origin and decided to come back to where they belong because no other community will even recognize them more than their own; the Osu-Ama Ancient Kingdom. And this is the reason for their wonderful reception today because our people are so happy to have their kinsmen back home.

“Truly, their coming back is a natural omen that was bound to happen and in fact, anywhere they leave Osu-Ama for, they would only end up being like strangers, but coming back would guarantee them peace, joy and settlement of where they truly belong. So, we are all excited that our people are back to us after such a long time. Today’s reunion would remain indelible in the history of Osu-Ama Ancient Kingdom.

“I must also appreciate our traditional ruler, Eze Edmund Umunnakwe Agim (Eze Udo IV of Osu-Ama Ancient Kingdom) for making this wonderful ceremony a reality. He is humane, truthful and accommodating. His goodwill, magnanimity and fairness prompted our brothers to return because of their confidence in him to always administer justice,” the philanthropist, Chief Iwule, noted.

The Chairman of Oboh Lagos Branch, who was visibly elated, also bared his mind, saying that the outcome had prospects of bringing development to the Osu-Ama Community which he described as peaceful and progressive, as he sued for unity, support and loyalty to the community and to Eze Agim.
