It was an Atmosphere of ideas and deliberations on Sunday 14th of April 2024 as Christian Women under the aegis of Catholic Women Organization, (CWO) of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Orji Mission converged at their church auditorium to mark the 2024 mother’s day celebration.
The well articulated women Organisation ably led by the President Mrs.Akunna Akujobi and the Secretary, Mrs. Ifeoma Adimma based their special mother’s day celebration on the central catholic theme: Motherhood, A Call To Perform Our Sacred And Supreme Vocation, took turns to express happiness over a successful celebration, while revealing to the press that God Almighty made it possible for them to accomplish all the plans they intended to carry out.
The president of the catholic women organisation of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Orji Mission, Mrs. Akujobi urged parishioners to get the C.W.O yearly magazine which is a very powerful one, that will help everyone to know more about mothers, the church and the society at large. According to her, some teachings which will be beneficial in the magazine include: the church and her sacrament, mkpa ezigbo nkuzi di maka ozuzu igbo, the relevant prayer, the rudiment of Christian living, importance of knighthood, divorce and gay marriage, the catholic women and the sustainability of catholic faith, insecurity and cybercrime, history of C.W.O, how it is been originated, Resourceful management, the catholic women, the family asset and Nigeria politics and government and many other highlights.
The women whose mission and vision is to motivate members to use their energies and resources to positively transform the church and the society, while following the footsteps of our dear Mother Mary, are asked to motivate and build a strong family by the officiating priest.
The Parish Priest, Rev. Father Justine Unamma urged the women to serve God, as the secretary Ifeoma Adimma urged mothers to support their husbands.
The high point of the event was a debate between fathers and mothers on who among them are most important in the family. It was realised that they are both important in the Christian home.
