To encourage excellence, humanitarian service and good leadership, Rotary Club of Owerri Royals has meritoriously crowned Rtn Cajetan Ikenna Osuagwu with Excellence Service Award.
According to the Rotary Club of Owerri Royals, the Medal of Recognition on Rtn Cajetan Ikenna Osuagwu was spurred by his passionate and immense contributions to the good of humanity and the growth of the society.
Remarkably, Rtn Cajetan Ikenna Osuagwu is an illustrious son of Ekwe in Isu Local Government Area of Imo State. He is a Lecturer with Imo State Polytechnic, Omuma, Oru East, Claretian University Nekede, Owerri West. He joined Rotary Club in 2019 and has served in several positions such as Charter President, Club Treasurer, Club Secretary, Image Maker and most of all, he is the President of Rotary Club of Owerri New Town.
Reacting to the Award, Osuagwu promised that he would always work for God while rendering selfless and effective services to humanity to affect lives more meaningfully and positively with a view to improving goodness, peace, conviviality and social security in the community.
Calling on government at all levels to be mindful as to improve social amenities to encourage productivity and resourcefulness to reduce poverty and insecurity, Osuagwu also appealed to financially rich individuals, groups and corporate bodies to assist the poor and the less-privileged to enable them assuage poverty and hardship which he regretted are breeding backwardness, the breach of peace and cordiality in the state.
He thanked Rotary Club of Owerri Royals for finding him worthy of the Honor and congratulated the newly investitured President of the Club, Rtn Barr Winifred Chinonye Osuigwe, who he described as a nice human who is always and passionately committed to affect lives positively.
