The Minister of Defence has declared that Nigeria’s security crisis is too vast and complex for any single agency to confront alone, calling for a united front among all security services.
He said threats such as terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and organized crime have grown beyond isolated responses, making cooperation essential. According to the minister, the armed forces, police, intelligence agencies, and other security institutions must work together through intelligence sharing, coordinated operations, and mutual support.
The defence minister stressed that joint action, stronger intelligence networks, and cooperation with state governments and local communities are key to weakening criminal networks and improving national security. He noted that fragmented efforts reduce effectiveness, while collaboration strengthens the overall response to insecurity.
