AfrexitBank Grant ‘Il enhance development in Imo, NYCN Chairman, Udoka

The Imo State Chapter Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comr. Barr. Ezinwanne Chimuanya, has said that the $1.5b conditional Grant from African Export – Import Bank (AfrexitBank) attracted by Governor Hope Uzodimma is a great move that will drive social and economic development in the state.

Speaking in Owerri on Tuesday, Udoka said the Governor is very wise, competent, development driven and charismatic to have reasonably secured the Grant, a feat he believed would enhance development and reduce hunger and hardship in the state.

Udoka added that #50,000 which the Governor said would be given to indigent people to enable them cushion the current economic hardship shows the Governor’s commitment to advance the welfare and wellbeing of the people.

He said the Council is giving the Governor kudos for attracting the Grant which he stressed is germane and timely, thanking President Bola Ahmed BolaTinubu and the Federal Government for facilitating the Grant.

Udoka disclosed that AfrexiBank which was founded in 1993, having its headquarters in Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt, with Prof. Benedict Okey Orumah (from Ahoada) being its President, plays a leading role in the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.

He expressed extreme happiness that AfrexiBank gives financial service to African States to help them grow economically and socially for enhanced prosperity, peace and forwardness of Africa.
