Reverend Senior Maria Edith Egbuogu of Daughters of Divine Love (DDL) Congregation, Enugu State, has described her late father, Nnaoma Sebastian Egbuogu, who was buried on 7th day of March, 2024, at his ancestral home, Okohia, Isiekenesi, Ideato South Local Government Area, Imo State, as a man of patience and peace who possessed great values.
Rev Egbuogu who spoke to journalists during her father’s burial, said her father led godly life, contributed to the growth of his community and church, vowing that the legacies he left behind would be sustained by them (his children) to keep his memory alive.
The Rev Sister who said her father was a legendary who was married to Ezinne Egbuogu, had nine responsible children, died at 90 years, stated that her father lived a fulfilled life, having attained great heights.
According to her, “my father exhibited patience till the last day. He was a lover of peace who enjoyed good care from his beloved wife and children. He will always be remembered for his wisdom, a good attribute that earned him respect in his town, Isiekenesi. In 2015, I celebrated my Silver Jubilee alongside my parents who equally marked their Golden Jubilee. The celebration was one of my happiest moments, having them celebrate with me”.
She added that since her calling, she has been inspiring people because her parents imbued her with Christian values which she said she is upholding.
“I inspired people. I cared for them, because I realised my mission on earth is the passion I have in caring for those who are burdened and rendering services to humanity. My parents taught me Christian values which I’m upholding today. I will always miss my father”, Rev Sister Egbuogu stressed.
She however thanked those who came from far and near to mourn with them, praying to God to fortify them, as well as grant her father eternal rest in His Kingdom.
